Reviews about AT&T

Although all people I dealt with were nice and helpful, the parent company refuses to make anything user friendly nor reasonable. Do not attempt to get just internet service through AT&T for less than 12 months as the prices become extravagant exceeding over $100+ per month of internet if you don't want an annual contract. If you do look at a 12 month contract the prices are very similar to the local cable company, and the speeds guaranteed are actually lower than dedicated cable (and I'm no fan of the cable company). You can expect your price to increase when your promotion ends at 12 months Additionally, even if you just want to pay for a few months upfront, they require a hard credit check, similar to applying for a store credit card. This will lower your overall credit score just as much as any application for a line of store specific credit and I cannot reccomend it in good faith. TLDR: If you have AT&T phone service, don't care about speed, can stay locked into a 12 month contract, and don't mind the hard credit check then this is an equally priced option for you.
